Big stories don’t only live in big cities. At Eberle Studios, we believe the heart of storytelling lives in the people, places, and values that define rural life—and now, we’ve got someone new helping us continue to bring those stories to the screen.
We’re thrilled to introduce Landon Eilert, our new in-house editor & videographer. From hands-on training in Kansas to filming in Rome, Landon brings technical talent, a heart for community, and a passion for capturing the everyday magic of small towns.

We sat down with Landon to hear more about his background, what inspires him, and why he’s excited to tell stories right here in North Central Kansas.
Q&A with Landon Eilert, Video Producer at Eberle Studios
Q: How did you get started in video production?
A: It all started with a little spark in high school—a media class that was new to all of us. That’s where I first got interested in video and realized there was a real career path in it. I went on to study Media Production and Communication at Hutchinson Community College in 2020.
I can’t recommend their program enough—the instructors were incredibly supportive and gave me hands-on experience with all kinds of equipment, even a RED camera. After graduating in 2022, I had the opportunity to work in Rome, Italy, for EWTN News. That gave me real-world experience, and I learned so much from my time there.
Q: What kind of projects have you worked on?
A: Over the last few years, I’ve worked on news segments, commercials, and human interest stories. Most of my experience is in agriculture-based shoots, which I really enjoy. I’ve also done a lot of work in the electrical industry.

Q: What brought you to Eberle Studios?
A: Eberle Studios happened to be looking for a videographer right when I was looking to move back to Beloit. I reached out and thought I could bring my skills to the table and support the work they’re doing.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the production process?
A: Editing. I love piecing together a story—finding the best moments and making everything flow. To me, editing feels like solving a puzzle in the most creative way possible.
Q: What’s one piece of equipment you can’t live without?
A: Besides editing software (because, obviously, I need that to do my job!), I’d say my drone. I’m a licensed drone pilot and I take that thing everywhere. Flying is probably my favorite part—especially for ag shoots where there’s so much freedom. If I could film an entire project just with a drone, I would… though I doubt I’d be allowed indoors!
Q: What projects have you worked on since joining the team?
A: I just wrapped up a spotlight video for Smith County featuring a family in Kensington, KS. I handled both filming and editing. They were incredibly kind and had a powerful story to share—it was a great experience from start to finish.
Q: What makes a video stand out in your opinion?
A: Emotion. If a video can make the audience feel something—whether that’s joy, nostalgia, or even tears—it’s going to stick with them. I always say the best videos are like Disney movies. I want viewers to walk away feeling something real.
“The best videos are like Disney movies—you should feel something by the end, whether it’s joy or tears.”
— Landon Eilert, Video Producer at Eberle Studios
Q: Why did you decide to come back to small-town Kansas?
A: After living in big cities, especially Rome, I realized how much I missed the freedom and connection of rural life. I like knowing the people around me, being able to drive wherever I want, and just feeling like part of a community. My wife and I both felt the same way—so we packed up, bought a house, and moved to a place that finally feels like home.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: I spend a lot of time with my wife, family, and friends. We hang out at home, go bowling at Beloit Bowl, or play pool at the Down Under.

Q: Do you have a dream project or creative goal?
A: Honestly, I feel like I’m already doing what I love. But one goal I have is to film in all 50 states.
Q: Coffee, energy drinks… what fuels your creative process?
A: If I liked the taste of coffee, I’d probably be a coffee drinker! I used to drink way too much Red Bull, but I got sick of it. These days, it’s Dr. Pepper—pretty sure it’s what’s running through my veins at this point. It gets me through the late-night editing sessions!
Landon’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter for Eberle Studios.
With a passion for small towns, an eye for compelling visuals, and a heart for storytelling, Landon is already helping us elevate the way we capture rural life. Whether he’s flying a drone over golden fields or piecing together a story in the editing room, his work brings a fresh, thoughtful perspective to every project.
We’re proud to have him on the team—and even more excited about what’s ahead.
