Great question! Our family pricing starts at $265 + tax and includes a 30 min session and a flash drive of all images from your edit with a print release.

Most families will book the 30 min session, however, if you think you need more time, you can upgrade to an hour, bringing your total to $300 + tax.

We also offer extended family sessions (multiple generations and/or multiple family groupings). These sessions are $450 + tax and include as much time as you need to get all of the groupings you want photographed, as well as a flash drive and print release for each of the individual families.  (typically these sessions will last about an hour)

How much does it cost?

In recent years we have found that an overwhelming majority of our family portrait sessions will purchase the flash drive of digital images. Therefore, to simplify the process we have recently re-packaged our family sessions to automatically include digital images. Although we can not guarantee the print quality of images that are printed outside of our lab, we do understand that this is a cost-effective option. Our recommendation would be to consider mpix for your printing needs.

If you are planning to display large prints within your home we 100% recommend making the investment and purchasing these from the studio for a couple of different reasons, the biggest being quality and quality control. If this is something you are interested in, we would be happy to work with you to design custom wall art that you can be proud to display as a featured piece within your home. If you would like to opt out of the digital images, we will simply apply $200 of the session fee as a print credit.

Prints vs. digitals...what do you recommend?

Our most common print orders will come in the form of either standard Lustre prints or Gallery Wrapped Canvases however we also offer Fine Art, metal, wood, acrylic, and standout prints. We have multiple framing and mounting options including our favorite, the float frame. In addition, we offer Christmas cards, albums, books, and more.

What print products do you offer?

We try to keep our family portrait sessions short and sweet...mainly because most sessions include young children, and let's be honest their attention spans don't typically last long.

As we mentioned, most of our family portrait clients will book a 30 min session. The only time we would recommend upgrading to an hour would be if number one, we are traveling to multiple locations, ie you are wanting photos done in the studio and outside. Number two, you want to get in more than one outfit. Or number three, its a newborn session and in that case we play it by ear as some newborns will come in and sleep the entire time, while others may need a little extra attention between set changes.

How long of a session will I need?

Our number one recommendation when selecting outfits for the entire family is to NOT have everyone wear the same thing. So, for instance, we do not recommend everyone wears a black t-shirt or a white t-shirt. Rather we would suggest picking colors that complement each other and mixing and matching within a selected color pallet.

It is okay to include a combination of patterns with solid colors.

Lastly, don't overthink it. Sometimes the simplest outfits make for the best photos!

What is your recommendation on clothing?

Most of the time we will utilize locations in and around the studio, however, if you have a specific location in mind we will come to you.

Locations within a 20-mile radius of the studio are free of charge. Anything over that is $.56/mile. If you are wanting us to travel to a specific location, it is also a good idea to discuss this at the time of booking so we can work out logistics as well as ensure there are enough backdrop & location options to fill your allotted session time.

Will you travel to a location of my choice?

Great question!

The first step is to contact the studio. We will work with you to find an available date as well as answer any other lingering questions you may have. We'll also collect all information needed to finish out your paperwork including your contact and mailing information, and any notes or special requests pertaining to your session.

Next step, shoot day! We recommend arriving at the studio a couple of minutes early to organize your things, and touch up your hair and makeup if need be. If you haven't already paid your session fee, we will take care of that at this time.

Once your shoot is over, we will get to work narrowing down your edit and working through our post-production process. You can expect to receive an email with a link to your gallery approximately 30 days after your shoot. From here you will be able to download your high-resolution images, while you wait for your flash drive to arrive in the mail.  For your convenience, you also have the option to make print purchases directly from your gallery. You can also share the gallery link with family members who can place their own orders, which will be shipped directly to them.

As always we are here to help with any purchase questions you may have. If you're feeling overwhelmed or indecisive we'd be happy to set up a print consultation. We are also here if you feel uncomfortable making a purchase or crop decisions within your gallery. Simply call the studio, let us know what prints you'd like and we will place the order for you. Then all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your images.

What's the process, how do I get started?
